River Fly Company

River Fly Co. was born from a life long love of fishing and a never ending desire to get as deeply connected with anything I do, and maybe a slightly over the top addiction to gear. The name comes from my dog River, who has been the best travel buddy and current CFO(Chief Furnancial Officer, she’s got a few hundred thousand miles driven and thousands of trail miles. Tying flies was a natural stepping stone into fly fishing and was a bit less daunting than some other fishing tackle creation. I grew up conventional bass fishing, a chartreuse rooster tail my most frequent weapon of choice, at around 17 years old a friend taught me to fly fish and I’ve never looked back. I do still conventional fish on occasion but fly fishing is by far the most enjoyable for me. Trout live in the most beautiful places on earth and I’ve chosen a life chasing those very places. River Fly Co. is the next evolution of that life, tying high quality flies at an attainable price for everyone to enjoy, right here in the Western U.S.
